Four-year-old Killed by Sibling Handling Mother’s Gun
One of four siblings left alone in a St. Louis, Missouri home, was handling their mother’s gun, when they shot and killed four-year-old Harley Hosein. Harley was a twin, but police didn’t say if her twin fired the gun, or if one of the other children, a nine-year-old and a ten-year-old, did; but they did say that the sibling who fired the gun suffered a small abrasion to the face, most likely from the gun jerking back after being fired.
Harley’s mother inherited the gun from a relative, but it is unclear if it was registered to her, or how the children found it. So far no one has been charged as the investigation continues.
