Two People Injured in Gun Accidents
A 16-year-old girl in Corpus Christi, Texas, was handling a gun when it unintentionally fired striking a one-year-old boy. The boy was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police recovered the gun and after questioning witnesses, determined the shooting happened in a bedroom. The teen was charged with injury to a child-weapon.
And an accidental discharge of a firearm injured one person at a gun show in Jackson, Mississippi. The victim’s injuries are not life-threatening and the police are continuing to investigate.
