Man Critically Injured Helping Break Up Fight at Strip Club
In a Morrisville, Pennsylvania strip club, Mekhi Norman was helping break up a fight when he was unintentionally shot multiple times by one of the combatants, 27-year-old Pedro E. Rodriguez. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition with injuries to the back of his head, left thigh and both armpits.
After a rowdy night of drinking, the club owner had refused to continue supplying drinks to Rodriguez and a friend. Angry, Rodriguez went to retrieve a gun in a vehicle, while his friend starting fighting with the owner and staff in the doorway of the club. Rodriguez returned and opened fire hitting Norman who was trying to help staff stop the fight. Rodriguez has been charged with attempted homicide, discharging a firearm into an occupied structure and 17 counts of reckless endangerment.
According to a relative, Norman died of his injuries on September 6, 2024.

How could it be an “unintentional” shooting when he went to his car to get a gun? Mekhi died on 9/6 of his injuries. He was my son-in-law’s younger brother. Very sad situation.
