Two Children in Indianapolis Critically Injured After Shooting Themselves
In different sections of Indianapolis, Indiana, hours apart, two children shot themselves.
On the northeast side of the city, a four-year-old boy was taken to the hospital in critical condition from a gunshot wound that police believe was self-inflicted. His grandmother said the boy’s name is Coreyon. Police detained two people of interest at the scene, as they continue to investigate.
And on the northwest side, a boy younger than 10 years old was also critically injured in an accidental shooting. Police believe his wounds were self-inflicted, and indicate they found a gun without a safety lock in a bedroom near the boy. The boy was at home with his mother and older brother. Officials are actively investigating the shooting.
