Truck Driver Wounded By Stray Bullets
A truck driver in Mocksville, North Carolina, was hit by stray bullets that caused an accident, and sent the driver to the hospital with gunshot wounds to his head and left shoulder. His current condition was not reported. John Franklin Barrow Jr., age 41, was arrested and charged with attempted murder and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle. “It appears the suspect drove through Mocksville firing a handgun and then traveled I-40 eastbound from the Hwy. 601 exit. The suspect then fired rounds and struck a driver and truck,” said the sheriff. Shell casings were found along the route Barrow Jr. took, but it doesn’t appear that anything was hit. He was apparently just “shooting into the air.” Officials continue to investigate.
