Four People Wounded in Unintentional Shootings 

A child was injured after they shot themself in Center Point, Alabama. The child was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No other information was reported.

Jacob Wheatley, age 31, unintentionally shot himself during a confrontation with another man over the use of a basketball court in Austin, Texas. Caught on surveillance video, Wheatley pointed an “AR-15 style rifle” at the man, and then accidentally fired a round into his own leg. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

And while a 17-year-old in Salinas, California, was “manipulating” a handgun, he unintentionally shot two other juveniles with him. The two victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The 17-year-old was arrested on unspecified charges as police continue to investigate.
