Two Children Hurt in Unintentional Shootings

In Miami, Florida, a man shooting at an “aggressive” dog instead shot a neighbor, age 15, in the leg.  The girl is recovering at a local trauma center.  The shooter has been detained for further investigation.  There is no report about what happened to the dog.

Also, a Memphis, Tennessee six-year-old shot himself today after finding a loaded gun.  He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but no charges will be filed.  According to the report, at least 80 children have been treated for gunshot wounds at Le Bonheur hospital in Memphis so far this year.
