Four People Wounded in Gun Accidents, Including a 3-year-old Girl

In a condominium in Montgomery Village, Maryland, a 3-year-old girl is expected to survive after shooting herself with an unsecured .40 caliber ghost gun. A 15-year-old boy was with other juveniles where the shooting occurred, and has been charged with possessing ammunition and a gun clip. “…[W]e’re seeing many juveniles who are gaining access to ghost guns and other guns, and the community has to take this very seriously,” said the police chief. 

In Huntington, West Virginia, a woman was shot in the foot when Raymond Ruffner adjusted a gun in his pocket that unintentionally discharged. Ruffner fled the scene after the shooting, and an arrest warrant has been issued charging him with malicious wounding.

And in LaGrange, Georgia, police confirmed that a 15-year-old boy accidentally shot his 10-year-old sister, then shot himself. Investigators determined that the shootings were accidental after speaking to the 10-year-old, and the case is considered closed .
