One Dead, Four Injured in Unintentional Shootings

Police originally thought the shooting death of a man in Fort Worth, Texas was a homicide, but evidence determined that he accidentally shot himself. No other information has been reported.

In Owensboro, Kentucky, police are investigating the shooting of a 17-year-old boy. The boy’s injuries are not life-threatening, from what officers believe was an accidental discharge due to negligence.

Police in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana, found a person in stable condition with gunshot wounds. Police determined that the shooting was most likely accidental and self-inflicted.

When a man unloaded a gun to clean it, he accidentally shot a woman in the torso in Evansville, Indiana. She was taken to the hospital for treatment.

And in Chicago, Illinois, a 9-year-old girl was taken to the hospital in good condition after being accidentally shot by a family member. Detectives are investigating.
