Two Children Injured as Innocent Bystanders
Children were injured today in South Carolina and Pennsylvania as victims of intended shootings.
In Lee County, South Carolina, a 9-month-old baby was wounded when more than 50 shots were fired into the mobile home where he lived with his family. The baby was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition. Three other children were in the home at the time and the baby’s mother was also injured.
In Southwest Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a man was killed, and two others were injured, when unknown assailants opened fire on their car. One of the injured was a 10-year-old girl, who suffered a graze wound to the head and was treated at the hospital. According to police, at least 26 shots were fired in the incident.
Both incidents are being investigated.
