Son Accidentally Shoots Father; Man Struck by Stray Bullet on Night Before 82nd Birthday
In Hamden, Connecticut, 25-year-old Aaron Gambrell was having a mental health episode when he accidentally shot his father in the abdomen. His father was taken to the hospital in stable, but critical condition. Gambrell has been charged with assault and reckless endangerment.
And as Buck Ford was closing up his auto repair shop in St. Louis, Missouri, he was struck in the chest by a stray bullet. A friend who was waiting for him outside told police he saw two people shooting at each other before they ran off. Ford, who turned 82 the next day, was taken to the hospital but is expected to recover. Police are asking the public to help provide information about the shooting.
