4-year-old Boy Killed in Accidental Shooting

Inside an apartment in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 4-year-old Jamero Edwards was accidentally shot and killed. The mayor said a woman told him that Jamero was shot after her 6-year-old got a hold of the gun in her apartment. Police recovered two guns and are investigating. No one has been charged at this time.

The mayor emphasized the need for more gun legislation on the state and federal level, and the district alderwoman reminded citizens that gun locks and boxes are available citywide. She said, “[y]ou know that it’s preventable. That’s what makes it so appalling.”
