One Killed, Two Injured in Gun Accidents

An 18-year-old male was shot and killed in an apartment in Carthage, Missouri. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and police say he was accidentally shot by a 20-year-old male. No one has been charged at this time.

Handling a concealed carry firearm while getting into his vehicle, a 54-year-old man unintentionally shot himself in the leg in Waupaca, Wisconsin. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No other details were reported.

In Proctorville, Ohio, Melissa Callicoat, 46, is in stable condition at the hospital after being accidentally shot in the lower abdomen. She was in bed with her boyfriend, Jeffery Leffingwell, 37, playing with a .38 caliber revolver when it discharged. Leffingwell has been charged with having weapons under disability. There is an ongoing investigation.
