Boy Kills Father in Duck Hunting Accident; Two Children Shoot Themselves with Unsecured Guns
Police have determined that it was an accident when a 13-year-old boy fatally shot his father during a hunting trip in Dunnigan, California. They both had hunting licenses and were hunting ducks when the boy’s gun accidentally discharged. No charges will be filed.
And two reports of parents charged after their children find loaded guns and shoot themselves.
A 13-year-old boy shot himself with a loaded gun he found in his Cincinnati, Ohio home. He was seriously injured, and his mother, Ronasia Kyles, 30, has been charged with endangering children for leaving the weapon unsecured.
And in a hotel room in Richmond, Virginia, a 4-year-old shot themself in the hand with a loaded gun they found. The child’s father, Ladontis Holland, 32, has been charged with abuse and neglect of a child and having a firearm as a convicted felon.
