Robbery Suspect Unintentionally Shoots Himself
The alleged suspect in the robbery of a convenience store in New Haven, Connecticut, unintentionally shot himself and then walked to the local hospital for treatment. The suspect was identified as 51-year-old Manuel Otero, and police determined after viewing surveillance footage, that he was wounded during, or after, the robbery. Otero is facing multiple charges, including first-degree robbery, criminal possession of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, unlawful discharge of a firearm and reckless endangerment.
