Two Boys Injured in Accidental Shootings
In Rocky Mount, North Carolina, three juveniles were in a home playing with a loaded, unsecured gun they found, when it unintentionally went off injuring a 10-year-old boy. Police seized the gun and determined that was stolen; later charging the boy’s uncle with possession of a stolen firearm and failure to secure a firearm from a minor.
And a juvenile was shot in a McDonald’s in Boiling Springs, South Carolina. After changing his story a couple of times, he admitted that he accidentally shot himself. The investigation has been hampered by witnesses unwilling to cooperate with the sheriff’s office.
