Innocent Bystanders Injured in Separate Shootings
A 10-year-old girl inside a Goldsboro, North Carolina home, was struck by a stray bullet from gunfire outside. She was taken to the hospital in serious condition but is recovering. There were 10 bullet holes on the exterior of the home, but police don’t believe this was a targeted shooting. There is an ongoing investigation.
And in a subway in Brooklyn, New York, two people were shot as the result of an argument that escalated into violence. The suspected shooter was arguing with a 17-year-old when he produced a gun and fired off multiple rounds. The teen was struck in the hand, and 57-year-old male bystander was hit in the ankle. The suspect fled the scene. Police are investigating and so far no arrests have been made.
