14-year-old Killed by Juvenile Playing with Gun

In Greenville, Texas, police are investigating the Thanksgiving Day shooting death of a 14-year-old boy. It is believed he was unintentionally shot by someone playing with a gun. A juvenile was arrested for manslaughter and tampering with evidence.

The 14-year-old attended the local high school. In a release from the school superintendent, “[w]e extend our thoughts and prayers to the family as we honor their privacy during this time of loss. Our crisis counseling team will be on-site Monday as we return from break, providing support for both students and staff.”
