A Toddler is Dead and Another Child is Wounded After Finding Loaded Guns

A two-year-old girl found a gun on a dresser and accidentally shot and killed herself in Lugoff, South Carolina. The sheriff said the incident is under investigation to find out exactly what happened, but nobody has been charged. “You know, unfortunately, sometimes we tend to underestimate the ability of small children to get where they want to go.” In response to the incident, a local resident added, “[j]ust pray for this family and pray for the first responders.”

And in Phoenix, Arizona, another young child accidentally shot themself today. The child was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. According to police, details of the incident are under investigation.
