Two People Unintentionally Injured in Shootings
Three people driving around in a vehicle in Mesa, Arizona were attempting to rob people at gunpoint. When police gave chase, the robbers crashed the car, then ran in different directions. However, they were all ultimately taken into custody. Two were males under the age of 18, the third was an adult who had unintentionally shot himself in the leg during the incident. The incident remains under investigation.
Marquetta Norman, 35, was outside with a group of people in Kinston, North Carolina, when someone in a vehicle drove by and shot at the group. She was struck in the back of the neck, but is recovering and has since been released from the hospital. The police chief said based on their preliminary investigation, Norman was not the intended target. The suspect is not known as police continue to investigate.
