Two Drivers are Accidentally Shot, One Fatally

The female driver of a vehicle in Cordele, Georgia, was accidentally shot and killed by her nephew who was sitting in the backseat. The 15-year-old nephew was handling a firearm when it unintentionally discharged, fatally striking his aunt. He now faces multiple charges, including involuntary manslaughter, possession of a firearm by a minor, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and reckless conduct.

In Kingsville, Texas, a 74-year-old man is in stable condition after being accidentally shot. He had given a ride to a 23-year-old man, and as the younger man exited the vehicle, another car pulled up with 21-year-old Anthony Perez in it, who started shooting at the 23-year-old. The 74-year-old driver was struck in the neck. Police later found Perez in an apartment, and he was taken into custody. He confessed to the shooting and has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault as the investigation continues.
