Stray Bullets Injure Three and Man Accidentally Shoots Himself with Friend’s Glock
While sitting at home in Rochester, New York, a 16-year-old girl was struck by a stray bullet. Police responded to a call about a person shot, and found a 42-year-old man inside a vehicle with at least one gunshot wound. During their investigation, police also discovered the injured teen who they believe was struck during the same shooting incident. Both victims were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No suspects are in custody as police continue to investigate.
At a barbecue, a 29-year-old man in Crete, Nebraska, picked up a friend’s loaded 9mm Glock, cocked it and pulled the trigger, accidentally shooting himself in the foot. He was treated at the hospital and released. No citations have been issued.
A 17-year-old boy in Bridgeport, Connecticut is in stable condition after being accidentally shot in front of an auto repair shop. It was determined that a 30-year-old relative of the teen was the intended victim, as police continue to investigate the incident.
And in Manhattan, New York, a 28-year-old woman was shot in the arm by a stray bullet while sitting in her car outside a chocolate shop. Investigators believe she was not the intended target, and she is in stable condition at the hospital. The shooter fled in an SUV and, so far, no arrests have been made.
