Five-year-old Dies in Accidental Shooting

Nassir White, a 5-year-old from Avondale, Louisiana, was injured by a single gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was taken to a local hospital, then transferred to Children’s Hospital in New Orleans in critical condition where he later died. After an autopsy his death has been classified as accidental, but it’s not clear who held the gun when it fired. Police are investigating.
