College Baseball Player is Hit by Stray Bullet in the Bullpen
An 18-year-old baseball player in Texarkana, Texas was shot in the chest while standing in Texas A&M’s bullpen during a game. He’s in stable condition, recovering in the hospital after undergoing surgery. Police traced the bullet to a neighborhood next to the ballpark where calls had come in about shots being fired. Two suspects have been identified and issued felony warrants; 20-year-old Demarco Banks turned himself in and is now in custody, and 17-year-old Kamauri Butler is still at large. There is an ongoing investigation.
