Unsafe Target Shooting Leads to Gun Accident Injury of Eight-year-old Boy

In Campbell County, Virginia, the sheriff’s office says an 8-year-old boy suffered an accidental gunshot wound this weekend. According to the report, two men were shooting rifles at “improper” backstops when the boy was struck.  Both men were  arrested for “improper handling of a firearm.” The eight-year-old is in stable condition with a “single small caliber hole in his upper buttock/lower back area.”
