Boy Charged with Manslaughter After Shooting a 15-year-old During Basement Gathering

A New Castle, Delaware 15-year-old is dead after being shot in a local residence. According to witnesses, a group of kids had gathered inside the home when one of them pulled a gun and began pointing it at members of the group. The gun fired, leaving the 15-year-old dead.  The 16-year-old shooter was arrested and charged with manslaughter after fleeing the scene.

The New Castle County chief of police, said: “My heart goes out to the victim’s family and everyone else involved.” He added, “Guns are glorified by so many of our young teens and it is all too often that they end up in the hands of our youth leading to tragedies like this.”
