Drake Adams, a Claiborne County, Tennessee 3-year-old, was shot and killed by a round unintentionally fired from a pellet gun today.  Anthony Adams, the boy’s father, told sheriff’s deputies that Drake grabbed the barrel of a pellet gun sitting on the edge of a bed. Adams said he bumped the gun and is “unsure” how it went off.

“Drake was the heart of the family,” his aunt said. “He was always happy and loved everyone he was around. His mommy, daddy, sister and brothers loved him so much.”

Adams was later arrested on charges that included being a felon in possession of a gun.
