A three-year-old Stark County, Ohio boy shot and injured his mother today. She was shot in the leg and is expected to survive, but no other details have been reported, including how the boy accessed the gun.

“This is an example as to why it is critical that firearms are properly stored inside the home,” the local Sheriff said in a statement. “This incident very easily could have been tragic. Thankfully no lives were lost, this time.”
