When five Kansas children went hunting without supervision, one of them, Cash Stein, 15, was accidentally shot in the head. He was flown to a hospital where he underwent surgery to remove pellet fragments. Doctors are keeping him sedated to control swelling. The family said Cash and his friends have hunted together for years, and they asked for prayers for everyone involved, saying his friends are struggling, too.

In Cole County, Missouri, police were called to the scene of a gun accident and found a unconscious 20-year-old woman with a gunshot. They say her 23-year-old boyfriend mishandled a gun which went off unintentionally.
