One-year old Khori Patterson of St. Louis, Missouri found a loaded gun in his home and shot himself in the head.  He later died at the hospital.  “This is just a terrible tragedy that should have never happened. Guns are inherently dangerous,” a police colonel said.

Khori’s grandfather said that Khori “loved animals, eating ice cubes and running up and down the neighborhood street.”  He added, “[t]he walks were my way of teaching him about birds and flowers and dogs and squirrels,” Little told the Post-Dispatch Thursday. “And we would go over the ABCs and go over our numbers. He was just a wonderful kid and he was going to be a wonderful person one day.”
