In Anchor Point, Alaska, Kenneth Defrancesco, 80, appeared to have been killed while getting out of his vehicle. “[A] firearm he was carrying came out of the holster and fired a round, fatally wounding him,” Alaska State Troopers reported in a press release on Sunday. A friend found Defrancesco in his driveway after he had failed to respond to text messages and phone calls.
In Kapaau, Hawaii, a Boy Scout was found dead near a scouting rifle range, suffering from an unintentional gunshot wound. Foul play is not suspected and no arrests are anticipated. The boy’s name and age have not been released. Nor have the circumstances of the accident.
In Cambridge, New York, Keith Libertucci, 66, was showing another man his shotgun. The gun fired when Libertucci was putting it down and the other man was struck in the chest and killed. Libertucci was taken into custody and charged with felony manslaughter.
