No charges were filed today after a West Palm Beach man claiming to have “dry-fired” a gun believing it was unloaded, shot and killed his good friend. The 25-year old victim managed to get outside before dying on the stairs.
Witnesses told police that a group of six friends were gathered in an apartment when one of the men picked up a handgun and loaded it. “The man said he charged the weapon but forgot it was loaded and was “dry-firing” it when the gun fired. “
In San Antonio, Texas, an 18-year old was cleaning his mother’s 9mm pistol when he accidentally pulled the trigger, injuring both himself and his brother. The bullet struck the boy’s brother in the hand before ricocheting into his thigh. Neither injury was life threatening and no charges will be filed.
