A two-year old New Orleans, Louisiana boy found a loaded gun and used it to shoot and kill himself. His parents have been detained for questioning but no charges have been filed.
“Everyone has a constitutional right to carry a weapon of course, but we need to do so responsibly,” said New Orleans’ police chief. “In over 20% of our auto burglaries, this year, a firearm was taken and that is very concerning. We are asking you please, do not leave your weapons in your vehicle. Do not leave your weapon in a place where a curious child may access this weapon.”
Just yesterday, a Louisiana three-year old also found a gun and shot himself.
