At least three children were injured in gun accidents today.

 In Wichita, Kansas, a ten-year old boy was hospitalized in critical condition when his father accidentally fired his new gun when he was unloading it to put it in a gun safe. There is an ongoing investigation.

Police are looking for a Waterbury, Connecticut man who accidentally shot a two-year old in the torso while showing his gun to friends. The child is in critical condition at the hospital.

And in Baker, Louisiana, a three-year old found a loaded gun in his home and shot himself.  He is in stable condition at the hospital. “Please take every precaution when there are juveniles in the house when it comes to firearms,” said the local police chief. “We do have free gun locks at the Baker Police Department.”
