In a complicated scenario, a Houston, Texas teenager, Julio Arnoldo Orsorio Saca, age 18, is charged with murder and aggravated robbery after he accidentally shot his co-conspirator at the outset of a planned robbery. The report of the accident is as follows:
Investigators were advised that the deceased male and Osorio Saca were in the area of 6000 Skyline Drive targeting victims for robbery. As Osorio Saca exited the front passenger seat of their vehicle, the gun he was holding discharged and struck his co-conspirator (deceased male). Osorio Saca continued with the robbery, shooting Cua Cua [the victim in the leg] and fleeing the scene as the passenger in his vehicle.
After a short distance, the deceased male lost consciousness and Osorio Saca removed him from the driver’s seat and placed him in the passenger seat. Osorio Saca then drove to 6320 Windswept Lane where he removed the deceased male co-conspirator and carried him into an apartment.
Cua Cua’s injuries are not expected to be life-threatening. However, in this scenario, Orsorio Saca’s deceased coconspirator may have been guilty of many things, but he is nevertheless an unintended victim of gun violence.
