Calvin Washington, a Bessemer, Alabama man, aged 30, told police that he had been shot in the leg by an unknown assailant. However, upon investigation, it turned out that he had accidentally shot himself with a stolen gun.  The man was arrested and charged with illegal gun possession and giving false information to police.

 And Tyler States, a Towanda, Pennsylvania man, aged 25, died in a fatal car accident after accidentally shooting himself in the middle finger.  It is unclear if he was taking himself to the hospital the time of his death.
