Gabriel Hojnacki of Grand Rapids, Michigan, age 13, was playing with a gun with a friend when he was accidentally shot and killed. According to his family, “Gabe loved fishing, biking and his five siblings.”
The boy who fired the gun was taken into custody. George Gross, the grandfather of the alleged shooter said “it was his 45-caliber gun the teens were playing with. Gross said he was at work when it happened and he stored the weapon in an unlocked dresser in his bedroom.” He expressed sympathy for Hojnacki’s family.
Gross has apparently not been arrested or charged for leaving the gun accessible to children.

Thats the thing it wasnt an accident. He was a felon with a gun in the home unlocked(multiple) and they werent playing with it. Gabe was laying on the couch downstairs when colton came down with the gun and pulled thr trigger hitting gabe in the side causing the et to hit both lungs. Gabes hans were never even on it. I know this bc im his step mom and if george would have listened to his parole n never had guns in the home then it would not have happened. George also gave the news a statement the morning after it happened stating that he told his grandkids where the gun was the year prior….yet a felon possessing a gun that killed someone’ wasnt charged/brought to justice.
