In Wellsville, Ohio a 14-year old boy found a gun in a closet in his home and removed the gun lock. He accidentally fired the gun and shot himself in the stomach.  According to police, he was using his cell phone when the gun went off.

The boy is expected to recover and may face criminal charges.  Class were canceled at the boy’s school after news of the incident was reported.

In Bronx, New York, a man trying to defend himself against loss of a gold chain, pulled a gun and accidentally shot himself in the leg while attempting to fire at the thieves. He is expected to recover.
