Today’s story is another example of a gun accident that occurred in the context of a confusing crime scene, this one involving a man confronting a group of children with a gun:
In Wichita Falls, Texas, a man grabbed a gun to confront a group of teenagers who he believed were stealing his car. He slipped and fell on the ice as he approached them. The gun then fired accidentally and one of the teenagers, a 13-year old, was struck. The four teenagers were still on the scene when police arrived. The boy’s injuries are not considered life-threatening. The other three teens, two age 16, and one age 14, were arrested and charged with attempted theft of the vehicle. For his part, the adult was interviewed and released.
