A man who was playing with a gun while walking near the freeway in San Clemente, California accidentally shot himself in the chest.  He was found by police lying on the highway.  He initially told police that he had been attacked by two men in a car, but later admitted that he had shot himself by accident.  The man was arrested and charged with several crimes, including filing a false police report.
