In Auburn, Alabama, a 13-month old girl was shot in the upper torso and killed. Witnesses remained at the scene and were cooperating with police. Later, Michael A. Thomas, one of the adults present at the at the time of the incident was arrested and charged with manslaughter, possession of Marijuana 1st degree, three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
The child’s body is at the medical examiner’s office for a forensic investigation.
Also today, a 16-year old in Hopewell, Virginia shot himself accidentally while making a partially 3-D printed gun. Making a gun is dangerous, illegal and should be severely punished. Legislators need to act before even more people are hurt.
