Two gun owners accidentally shot themselves today and were taken to hospitals for treatment.

In Omaha, Nebraska shot himself in the leg with .22 caliber pistol twice. He is said to be suffering from dementia.  It is unclear why he was still in possession of a gun.

And in Gold Hill, North Carolina, a man shot himself in the chest when he was unloading his gun.  The bullet passed below his collarbone and exited through his back.  The report does not explain how he was holding the gun to unload it.
