A Natchez, Mississippi man reported that a round fired when he dropped his gun.  The round passed through his abdomen and bounced off the roof of his home.  According to the report, the man found the bullet and provided it to police.

“Sometimes a bullet passing through is better than it being lodged inside of you because it goes through so fast,” the local police chief said. “He was coherent and communicating with us. We believe he is recovering at a hospital in Jackson.”

Police did not release the man’s name, citing his right to privacy. Nor is there information about the type of gun involved in the incident.
