Frantic rescue attempts were unsuccessful when a 5-year old boy accidentally shot a three-year old girl in Bena, Minnesota.  According to the report, first responders intercepted a vehicle in which family members were rushing the girl to the hospital in order to provide emergency medical attention.  Their life-saving attempts were unsuccessful.

Law enforcement officers are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
