In another accident involving a nine-year old child, a Louisville, Kentucky boy was rushed to the hospital after unintentionally shooting himself while playing with a relative’s gun. Police say the boy’s injuries are not considered life-threatening. The incident is nearly identical to one that occurred in Alabama just two days ago on April 15.
A spokesperson for the Louisville police department reminded the public that the incident serves as a reminder to gun owners to safely store their guns. “Firearms should never be within reach of children and are best maintained unloaded and locked, away from curious fingers and prying eyes,” she said.
