19-year old Kahlis Parker of Bridgeport, Connecticut, accidentally shot himself in the arm and then lied to police about the incident.  Upon release from the hospital, Parker was arrested and charged with risk of injury to a minor, carrying a pistol without a permit, stealing a firearm, interfering with a police officer, illegal discharge of a firearm, illegal sale/transfer of a firearm and negligent storage of a firearm.” He is being held on $25,000 bond until a hearing scheduled in late March.

Also today, a juvenile was arrested for manslaughter in Lafayette, Colorado after an accidental shooting.  In the incident, a 14-year old died after being driven to the hospital.
