Four accidental shooting victims are taking up hospital beds amidst the coronavirus medical crisis, after gun accidents in Louisiana, Texas, Alabama and California today.
In Jeanerette, Louisiana, a boy was accidentally shot in the neck during “horseplay.” The adult shooter was arrested and charged with illegal discharge of a weapon.
A man in Lake Jackson, Texas accidentally shot himself and was “seriously injured.” He was taken by ambulance, then medical helicopter, to a Houston hospital.
In Fairhope, Alabama, a teenager was accidentally shot in the driveway of his home. He was also taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
A 28-year old Long Beach California man accidentally shot himself, but his injuries are not considered life-threatening. He suffered a wound to his “lower extremities.”
Few other details of these incidents are publicly available.
