In Bryan, Texas, two police officers were injured when a gun “accidentally went off” at the police station. Both officers were taken to the hospital, treated and released.
A release issued by the Bryan police department says that an administrative review of policies, procedures, and training will take place to determine what can be done to ensure that similar incidents do not occur in the future. No other details of the incident were reported.
The Associated Press recently released a report that shows how commonly police firearm accidents occur.
