In Fort Lauderdale, Florida, an 8-year old found his father’s loaded handgun when his father left him alone briefly in the car while shopping.  The boy shot himself in the leg.  He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Just over a month ago, a Fort Lauderdale toddler also found his father’s loaded handgun in a car and shot and injured his mother. (See entry for December 12, 2019).
